Mestemaker is expected to enter the transfer portal, per On3 Sports.

After putting together an incredible redshirt freshman season, leading the FBS in passing by a wide margin, Mestemaker will unsurprisingly look for a new program via the portal. He tossed for a whopping 4,129 yards, 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing over 70 percent of his passes. He also added five scores on the ground. With three years of eligibility remaining, Mestemaker should be highly sought after in the transfer portal.
