Gaines-Smith will transfer to Sam Houston from the JUCO ranks, he announced on his personal X account.

Gaines-Smith spent time at Fresno City College as a tailback, and will now take his talents to Sam Houston. He'll look to play a role in new head coach Phil Longo's offense immediately.
