Fajardo completed 26 of 33 passes for 346 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding four rushes for 20 yards during the Elks' 21-18 loss to the Roughriders on Friday night.

Fajardo drew the start for the demoted Tre Ford and delivered everything but the victory, displaying excellent chemistry with his deep group of weapons. The veteran signal-caller connected with a whopping nine targets overall, and he hit Kaion Julien-Grant (36) and Steven Dunbar Jr. (13 yards) for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes that nearly allowed the Elks pull off an improbable comeback. Despite the fact he took back-to-back sacks to close out the game, Fajardo seemingly did more than enough to continue leading Edmonton's offense in a Week 9 home matchup against the Tiger-Cats next Saturday afternoon.
