During one of Notre Dame's previous games, seemingly Tuesday against Miami, Njie suffered a knee injury that will prematurely end not only his 2025-26 season but also his collegiate career. The campaign marks his last year of collegiate eligibility, and he used it to log a third season with Notre Dame. Njie went from a regular starter to more of a microwave role player, and in his 17 games (zero starts), he averaged 2.5 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting a career-best 63.2 percent from the field.
