ANALYSISThe well-traveled Dinwiddie will move on to the eighth different organization of his NBA career after previous stops in Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn, Washington, Toronto, Los Angeles and most recently, Dallas. Though injuries opened up plenty of opportunities in the Dallas backcourt for Dinwiddie in 2024-25, he averaged just 11.0 points on 41.6 percent shooting from the field and 33.4 percent shooting from distance while chipping in 4.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per contest over 79 appearances. The 32-year-old will add some experience to the Charlotte backcourt, but he may not be a lock for a regular spot in the rotation while the Hornets bring back
LaMelo Ball (wrist/ankle),
Brandon Miller (wrist) and
Tre Mann and add
Collin Sexton and rookie first-round pick
Kon Knueppel to the mix.
