Deni Avdija Injury: Won't play Monday

Avdija (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Celtics.

Avdija will miss his second consecutive contest due to a lower-back strain, though interim head coach Tiago Splitter said the plan is for him to play in the second leg of this back-to-back set Tuesday against the Wizards, per Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland. With the 25-year-old forward unavailable Monday, Sidy Cissoko and Rayan Rupert are candidates to see an uptick in minutes.
