2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bohm's 2024 stats were a nice representation of the league as a whole. Bohm made more hard contact, had a higher barrel rate and a higher average exit velocity than he did in 2023, yet he hit five fewer homers on the season despite a nearly identical amount of plate appearances. That playing time consistency is one of Bohm's endearing qualities, as he is just one of seven third basemen with 600-plus plate appearances in each of the past three seasons. Bohm was also granted the honor of hitting cleanup in Philadelphia for most of the season, which allowed him to match his 2023 RBI total despite having fewer homers. The homer decline was offset by a career-best 44 doubles. Bohm's groundball rate puts a soft cap on his home run upside. He has shown a bit more loft in recent seasons, and Bohm setting a new career-high in pull rate in 2024 may be a sign he's going to join the elevate-and-celebrate mindset, which proliferates baseball these days. A hand issue, which led to an IL stint in early September was certainly a second-half factor in (.681 OPS) compared to his first half (.830 OPS.) Read Past Outlooks

Drives in four in Wednesday's win
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Cubs.
ANALYSIS
Shifted back to third base after starting four straight games at first base to cover for Bryce Harper (wrist), Bohm delivered his third straight multi-hit performance Wednesday while setting a season high in RBI. The 28-year-old capped the scoring for the Phillies on the afternoon with a solo shot off Genesis Cabrera in the seventh inning. Since the beginning of May, Bohm is batting a blistering .333 (47-for-141) in 37 contests with all six of his homers on the year, plus 16 runs and 20 RBI.

Bohm's wRC+ increased for the second straight season, and while he exhibited better plate skills, his batted-ball metrics took a small step back. Specifically, his average exit velocity and hard-hit rate dipped a tad from 2022. A slight increase in launch angle helped counter hitting the ball with less authority, resulting in Bohm's first 20-homer season. He only attempted five steals, the same as the previous season, but Bohm was successful four times as opposed to twice in 2022, hinting he could run a little more this season. Bohm's defense improved, but it was still well below average, and with Bryce Harper entrenched at first base, Bohm is ticketed for the hot corner. He's also probably also going to continue to hit lower in the order, costing Bohm some plate appearances. Bohm is solid, but expecting another level is risky.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Showing life offensively
Bohm is in the midst of a modest eight-game hit streak, during which he's gone 12-for-29 with a double, a homer, three RBI and four runs.
ANALYSIS
The third baseman still has an underwhelming .618 OPS for the season, but he's been significantly more productive since mid-April and has a .326/.378/.427 slash line in his past 24 contests. Bohm began the campaign batting in the top half of the lineup but has primarily been hitting out of the No. 8 hole lately. He could be moved back up now that he's finding more success at the plate.
