2026 Fantasy Outlook
Miller was seen as one of the best pure hitters from the prep class in 2023, and he has lived up to that billing, but the big development in 2025 is that he's now a major threat on the base paths. The righty-hitting shortstop was assigned to Double-A for his age-20/21 season and got off to a slow start, logging a .655 OPS over the first seven weeks. However, he heated up with the weather, slashing .284/.425/.484 with 10 homers, 43 steals (on 56 attempts), a 20.9 percent strikeout rate and a 17.6 percent walk rate over his final 77 games, including an eight-game run at Triple-A to close the campaign. Miller is just scratching the surface as a power hitter, and his 39.2 percent groundball rate and 50.5 percent pull rate suggest he'll get the most out of his raw power in games. He won't run as much as he did in the minors in 2025, but even if Miller cuts his stolen-base attempts in half, he could be a rare third baseman who regularly steals 20-plus bases. If the Phillies can trade Alec Bohm this offseason, Miller could make the Opening Day roster. He's a quality defensive shortstop, so Miller could play anywhere on the dirt where there is a need.
