Peguero singed a minor league deal with the cross-state Phillies after five seasons with the Pirates failed to materialize into much. Peguero spent a majority of his time in Triple-A Indianapolis but failed to impress in the 96 games he spent with the big league roster. Peguero's contract all but dictates he is going back to Triple-A for 2026 and a promotion is unlikely unless several dominoes fall because he would first need to be added to the 40-man roster to be promoted necessitating two transactions.
