Moniak has emerged as a strong post-hype fantasy producer after flaming out with both the Phillies and Angels. He's maintained a .209 ISO across his last three seasons combined, though the early portions of that were plagued by an overly-aggressive and generally poor approach at the plate that led to volatility in his batting average. However, Moniak got more selective at the plate in 2025 in his first year with the Rockies, recording the lowest O-swing percentage of any meaningful sample in his career with a corresponding dip to a more palatable 23.9 percent strikeout rate. All of that came without sacrificing his hard-hit metrics such as barrel percent and average exit velocity, providing some hope that his 2025 breakout is sustainable. That comes with the typical caveats of a Rockies player, as his numbers fell significantly away from Coors Field. Furthermore, Moniak also struggled against southpaws and is likely to serve on a large-side platoon, cutting into his plate appearances. Even with the improved profile, that leaves Moniak best served for daily lineup leagues, or as a streaming option in shallower formats when the Rockies are in line for lengthy homestands.
