2026 Fantasy Outlook
On Sept. 20, 2025 Espino threw his first pitch in an official game since 2022, when he threw 18.1 innings. Shoulder injuries and surgeries have been the story for Espino in recent years, but he had eight strikeouts and three walks in 5.1 innings across Triple-A (0.2 innings) and the Arizona Fall League to close 2025. This is still an extremely risky pitcher to expect anything out of in dynasty leagues, but he's healthy again for now and on the 40-man roster. Espino was sitting in the upper-90s in the AFL with a plus slider, so he could be an option for the big-league bullpen in 2026. If the club opts to stretch him out, it would probably make sense for him to spend most or all of 2026 knocking the rust off in the upper levels of the minors. Read Past Outlooks
