2026 Fantasy Outlook

Blanco experienced a breakout with the Astros in 2024 and was just starting to get on a roll in 2025 before undergoing internal brace and flexor tendon surgery on his pitching arm in early June. The operation will sideline the 32-year-old for most, if not all, of the 2026 campaign, leaving him as an easy pass in redraft leagues. Blanco was due for some level of ERA regression in 2025 after a .220 BABIP in 2024, and while his ERA did indeed jump from 2.80 to 4.10, his xERA dropped from 3.94 to 3.19. The right-hander's control and home run issues leave him vulnerable, but the opposition has hit only .195/.276/.360 off him the last two years because he induces a lot of weak contact.
