Justyn-Henry Malloy

The Lawfirm has demonstrated a good eye for the strike zone with a 12% walk rate in just over 350 career plate appearances at the big league level. Unforutunately, those walks have been his best course of action to reach base with a career .209 batting average not helped by a 32.8% strikeout rate. We have known Malloy can accept walks as it's all he has done throughout the minors, but the strikeout rate has accelerated in his exposure to major league pitching. His 24% Triple-A strikeout rate in 1209 plate appearances should have been more of a tell about potential contact issues at the big league level than it was, but this is why Malloy was not ranked higher in prospect lists despite his raw tools.
