Justin Martinez

After a breakout 2024 campaign, Martinez opened last season in a high-leverage role for the Diamondbacks, but spent the majority of 2025 on the injured list. The 24-year-old experienced diminished velocity early on thanks to right shoulder inflammation. After a few weeks on the IL, Martinez only made five more appearances for Arizona before spraining his UCL. The injury required Tommy John surgery; a procedure Martinez went through for the second time after originally going under the knife back in 2021. The young hurler will spend most, if not all, of the 2026 campaign recovering from the procedure. Read Past Outlooks
