2026 Fantasy Outlook
Larnach repeated his 2024 breakout season but didn't improve much and his 17 home runs and .727 OPS were a little underwhelming. After spending time in the minors in 2024, Larnach was firmly in the Minnesota lineup splitting time between the corner outfield spots and DH. Swing and miss had been his major issue earlier in his career, but he improved to career bests in strikeout rate (21.6%) and contact rate (75.7%). He took big steps back in his underlying power metrics, however, moving to 70th percentile in Average Exit Velocity from the 90th percentile in 2024. He also declined sharply in Barrel% and hit just seven home runs in the second half. Larnach also struggles against left-handed pitchers with a .608 OPS last season and .585 OPS in his career. He also declined with his glove with negative metrics in left field (-3 DRS) and right field (-2 DRS). His limited range in the outfield and issues against lefties could limit his playing time as a result. Still, his power metrics could rebound and his improving contact rates still give him 30-home run potential. Read Past Outlooks
