Spencer Jones Injury: Dealing with back spasms

Jones is not in the starting lineup for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday while he contends with back spasms, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Jones won't play Friday but could be back in the lineup Saturday, depending on how his back responds to treatment. The 24-year-old outfielder was bumped up to Triple-A in late June and has raced out to a strong start with a 1.407 OPS to go with six steals and 13 home runs in 94 plate appearances for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
