Jose Castillo News: Summoned from Triple-A

The Mets selected Castillo's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

New York designated Castillo for assignment last month, but after he cleared waivers, he stuck around in the organization and will now regain a spot on the 40-man roster. Over 13 relief appearances with the Mets this season, Castillo has produced a 2.38 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB across 11.1 innings.
