Coco Montes News: Clears waivers

The Rays outrighted Montes to Triple-A Durham after he cleared waivers Monday.

Montes no longer possesses a spot on the Rays' 40-man roster, but he'll stick around in the organization after Tampa Bay designated him for assignment over the weekend. The 28-year-old utility player has seen action in five games with Tampa Bay this season and has gone 2-for-10 with an RBI.
