Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Los Angeles Angels

Hendricks isn't a pitcher that's going to overpower opposing batters, but the veteran often finds a way to get the job done. He's coming off a six-strikeout performance against the Tigers in his last start Aug. 8. The six strikeouts were Hendricks' most since his June 17 start against the Yankees, and he was able to throw at least five innings for the 15th time in his last 17 outings.

He's posted a meager 34 strikeouts over his last nine starts and has recorded four or more just three times over that span. However, he's one of the most cerebral pitchers in the majors, and he could take advantage of the fact that the Dodgers have been slumping offensively to deliver another solid outing on the mound. Hendricks owns a 3.48 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and a 13:4 K:BB in four starts since the All-Star break.

Tampa Bay Rays @ The Athletics

Junior Caminero over 0.5 home runs, +320 @ bet365

Caminero went hitless Tuesday, but he has been swinging a hot bat of late and could easily bounce back here. The slugging third baseman has five homers over his last six games and is hitting a robust .417 with a 1.482 OPS over that stretch. The 21-year-old infielder is having a breakout season and has launched 33 homers already in 2025, including 10 in 24 games since the All-Star break.

With two homers in five games against the A's this season, Caminero represents a good value bet to go yard as any slugger in today's slate. He has a 1.117 OPS with six homers across 11 games since the beginning of August, so few hitters in the majors are as hot as Caminero from a power perspective.

Chicago Cubs vs. Toronto Blue Jays: Seiya Suzuki over 1.5 total bases, +115 @ bet365

The Cubs have been slumping badly on offense, and Suzuki hasn't been able to escape those problems, although he had been showing signs of a turnaround in recent games. The Japanese slugger went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays, but he was riding a four-game hitting streak just before that -- a stretch in which he hit .385 with a 1.163 OPS.

Suzuki has recorded multiple bases in only three of his nine games in August, but he's one of the few Chicago players who has shown some signs of life at the dish in recent weeks. Suzuki is hitting only .176 with a .587 OPS since the All-Star break, but he's a much better hitter than what those numbers indicate. Things are shaping up for a solid outing, and the Cubs could use a bounce-back performance from him Wednesday in a game where the Blue Jays will start Kevin Gausman, who has a 3.02 ERA since the beginning of July.
