2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lavoie has now appeared in 16 regular-season NHL games across two seasons, but he’s still searching for his first point at the top level. He also failed to make an offensive impact with AHL Henderson during the 2024-25 regular season, finishing with 17 goals and 27 points across 42 outings. That’s in contrast to 2023-24, when he contributed 28 goals and 50 points in 66 regular-season appearances with AHL Bakersfield. While that’s discouraging, Lavoie still has time to grow his game. It also helps that he has size and a willingness to play physically, giving him ways to earn his keep outside of offensive contributions. However, he will likely start the 2025-26 campaign in the minors and may not see much NHL action. Read Past Outlooks
Called up from minors
Lavoie was recalled from AHL Henderson on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Lavoie could be pressed into service against the Sabres on Tuesday with both Mark Stone (upper body) and Mitch Marner (illness) questionable to play. While the 25-year-old Lavoie has yet to get into an NHL game this year, he's been lighting it up in the minors to the tune of 12 goals and 13 helpers in 24 contests.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be moved
Lavoie could be acquired for the right price, but there would be some reluctance to trade him, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lavoie has done well with AHL Bakersfield this season, recording 13 goals, 21 points and 38 PIM in 29 contests. He's a call-up candidate as the campaign progresses and could be an affordable bottom-six option for Edmonton in 2024-25, which is why the Oilers would rather hold onto the 23-year-old. However, Edmonton is in win-now mode, so if including Lavoie is what it takes to get the kind of upgrade the Oilers seek, then they would likely be willing to pull the trigger.
