Memphis dismissing Abdul Hakim means his 2025-26 season is finished. He began it by sitting out several games before debuting off the Tigers' bench on Nov. 26 and proceeded to become a staple of their starting lineup for future matchups. Based on HAH's time with Texas Rio Grande Valley, the expectation was that he would provide solid scoring and rebounding for Memphis, just as long as his availability was not a problem. Yet, it was, backed by the fact that Abdul Hakim's latest season will finish with fewer than 15 games under his belt. He averaged 6.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals.
