We had an exciting Week 10 that included the NBA's annual five-game Christmas extravaganza, as well as plenty of wire-to-wire matchups and standout individual efforts. Our top five fantasy basketball players remained mostly static as the best of the best continued to deliver their usual caliber of performances, but we also have one very prominent new name this week who's no stranger to fantasy excellence.

The following players averaged the most fantasy points per game last week (one-game minimum)

Top Fantasy Basketball Players from Week 10

#1. Nikola Jokić, Nuggets

Last Week: 83.9 FP/G Season Rank: 1 (71.1 FP/G)

Jokić reclaimed his customary spot atop the fantasy mountain this week courtesy of a robust four-game body of work. The Joker particularly stood out with his Christmas Night masterpiece in an overtime win over the Timberwolves, where he delivered a 56-point, 16-rebound, 15-assist triple-double that included jaw-dropping 15-for-21 shooting from the field and a 22-for-23 tally from the free-throw line. That naturally helped propel him right to the top, but Jokić's 34-point, 21-rebound, 12-assist effort against the Magic on Saturday certainly was about as good an encore as could have been expected.

#2. Kawhi Leonard, Clippers

Last Week: 70.9 FP/G Season Rank: 15 (48.9 FP/G)

Leonard flies somewhat under the radar at times compared to earlier in his career, as the combination of playing on a struggling team, his occasional absences due to injury/injury management, and the wave of new stars that dominate attention can obscure some of his still impressive accomplishments. The future Hall of Famer was in fine form in Week 10, however, rocketing to No. 2 on the list in large part due to the career-best 55-point showing he put together against the Pistons on Sunday to close out the week. The memorable performance was a double-double as well, thanks to the 11 boards he pulled down, and he'd preceded the offensive outburst with not-too-shabby 41- and 28-point contributions to open a week in which he shot a blistering 58.0% overall.

#3. Cade Cunningham, Pistons

Last Week: 61.2 FP/G Season Rank: 3 (58.9 FP/G)

Cunningham continued rolling along in Week 10, and he managed a top-3 finish despite opening the week with a relatively modest-by-his-standards 14-point, six-rebound, nine-assist tally against the Trail Blazers. Cunningham more than made up for it over the next two games on Detroit's Western Conference swing, posting consecutive points-assists double-doubles against the Kings and Jazz while averaging 26.0 points, 15.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in those contests, shooting 52.9% in the process. The 2021 first overall pick came just an assist short of accomplishing the feat a third straight time in Sunday's wild showdown with Kawhi and the Clippers, but his 27-point contribution helped him round out his week nicely nonetheless.

#4.  Jalen Johnson, Hawks

Last Week: 59.1 FP/G Season Rank: 5 (56.6 FP/G)

Johnson was able to finish out Atlanta's three-game week in fine fashion Saturday with a third consecutive double-double despite perhaps being a bit under the weather, as he's been ruled out to start Week 11 due to illness. The ascendant star showed no ill effects during Week 10, however, averaging 22.7 points, 10.7 assists, 9.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest despite Trae Young being back to full strength/usage. Johnson would have arguably been even higher on this list were it not for an atypical slump from three-point range, as he shot only 18.8% from behind the arc during that three-game sample.

#5. Luka Dončić, Lakers

Last Week: 59.0 FP/G Season Rank: 2 (65.8 FP/G)

It's not often Dončić barely makes the top-five cut, but such was the case this week despite the star guard putting together another collection of signature performances. Luka played in only two games due to one absence with a leg contusion, but he delivered in that pair of contests by producing 29.5 points, 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks across 33.5 minutes per game. He shot an efficient 50.0% as well, closing out the period Sunday by spearheading a 24-point win over the Kings after the Lakers had taken a 119-96 thumping from the Rockets on Christmas Day.
